Portraits from Pushkar Camel Fair
Portrait photography has always been an important part of my documentary work. Whenever I travel, I enjoy meeting people, learning about their lives and culture, and creating portraits that reflect their individuality.
During my visit to the Pushkar Camel Fair in Rajasthan, I spent time walking through the fairgrounds, meeting pilgrims, traders, musicians, and local villagers. Beyond the camels and festivities, it was the faces, expressions, and quiet moments that drew my attention.
This collection features portraits made during the 2012 Pushkar Camel Fair. Each photograph is a brief encounter with a person whose presence and expression stood out amid one of India's largest and most vibrant cultural gatherings.
