A Journey Through Meghalaya

In 2014, I travelled through Meghalaya, exploring places including Shillong, Cherrapunji, Dawki, Mawlynnong, Riwai, and Mawphlang. Known for its lush landscapes, rolling hills, waterfalls, and living root bridges, Meghalaya offered a very different experience from the rest of India.

During this journey, I focused on photographing the region's natural beauty and quiet landscapes. While opportunities for photographing people were limited, the scenery itself told the story of a place shaped by rain, forests, and mountains.

This collection brings together photographs from that journey through one of India's most beautiful northeastern states.
